It's that time of the month when you feel at odds over how to minimise spending to the essentials while you navigate your way to payday.
It doesn't sound exciting, and many will agree that making ends meet is the most challenging. But for parents who have younger kids, it can be that much more testing.
Of course, we live in a society with a diverse group of parents. Some believe in tough love, and others focus on giving their children everything they never had (even if they struggle to do so).
A video that perfectly captured the struggle of being a kid who wants candy but can't have it felt like the ultimate example of waiting for payday so you can finally afford a treat.

In the video, we see a young girl at a retail store with a woman who we assume is her mother. The girl is standing at a till point with all the candy hanging in front of her, like it's teasing her.
The child holds up one of the packets and acts as if she is eating it. She is playing pretend, and her actions do not ignite any reaction from her mother.
However, her actions did resonate with many social media users, as the video has over 4.7 million views.

One person said, "As the mother, I would've continued ignoring her."
Another wrote, "She's manifesting."

Another person believed it was a manipulation tactic: "It's an old manipulation strategy."
