Motorist jokes: "We drive on what's left of the road"
Updated | By Jacaranda FM/Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
A motorist films the state of the road he's driving along, which is riddled with potholes...
It’s rare to find a motorist who can laugh about driving through roads filled with potholes, but we found one who managed to see the humour in it.
The road this motorist was driving on was in poor condition, and while the exact location remains unclear, some comments on the video suggest it was somewhere in the Moses Kotane municipality in the North West province of South Africa.
In South Africa, we drive on the left-hand side of the road, but this motorist joked that, given the state of the roads, drivers are now forced to navigate not on the left side, but on whatever’s left of the road.

The poor state of many South African roads has become a major concern for motorists, with many facing significant vehicle damage while trying to avoid potholes on busy streets.
Recently, Mayor Dada Morero addressed the issue, assuring residents that the potholes and malfunctioning traffic lights in Johannesburg are being tackled. He said that heavy rains have caused delays in the city's efforts to repair the roads.
Fellow South Africans have found the humour in the situation, with many sharing their thoughts in the comments.
One wrote, "Apparently, if you drive at 120km/h, you don’t feel the holes."
Another person added, "It's bad all over SA."
"That's why I want to trade in my polo for an Isuzu, bro," someone else joked.
