Oops, lawyer 'court' off guard calls the judge 'honey'
That's the thing about speaking before pausing, you cannot unsay things once they are out there...
The look of total shock and horror on a judge's face wasn't a result of a heinous crime but more about a lawyer calling her 'honey'.
People online are criticising the lawyer for being a 'mansplainer' and accusing him of talking down to females. But we think it was a case of bad timing and an unlucky slip of the tongue.
The lawyer, who was allegedly arguing for a harsher sentence in a sexual assault case, accidentally called the judge 'honey'. He immediately apologised and was left completely embarrassed.

While the judge managed to keep her composure, the lawyer was clearly embarrassed and could be heard fumbling over his words several times following his Freudian slip.
While this may have been one of the things you never expect to experience in your career, you would be surprised how many people slip up during conversations with their superiors.
