Mosquitoes are a constant nuisance, but fortunately, there are ways to keep them at bay – one of which is using plants as natural repellents.
With flies and mosquitoes seemingly everywhere, it feels like a bug’s life never ends. But the worst part? The relentless bites, especially if you're battling a buzzing mosquito at bedtime.
A homemade remedy making the rounds on social media claims to be an effective solution, and we thought it was worth sharing.

While those who have tried it note that this concoction isn’t a permanent solution, it’s interesting that vanilla and water can repel mosquitoes at all.
Experts suggest more effective ways to keep mozzies at bay, but this DIY recipe is a handy option if you're in a bind.
You can make the vanilla spray by mixing two teaspoons of vanilla extract with one cup of water in a spray bottle.
The sweet scent masks your body odour, helping to keep mosquitoes away.
