This is how much it costs to keep your BFF

But according to a new study, the cost of keeping a bestie doesn’t come cheap.
“My bestie and I have often wondered how much money we spend on each. Since she lives in NYC between the back and forth into late night Skype calls, the international commuting to meet up at exotic destinations and the presents,” says Bridget.

The study, which was completed by TopCashback, reveals that keeping a best friend can cost up to £23,870 (about R456,000), Mirror reported. This is reportedly due to birthday presents, travelling miles to see each other if your friend lives in another area, pick-me-ups, house warming presents, and take-aways, amongst many other things.
“But when we asked people to compare their friendship to the monetary investment, only 14 % thought their friendship was equal to their investment with the vast majority thinking it was worth more,” TopCashback spokesperson Natasha Smith told the publication. “We had also decided that maybe its best if we didn’t actually know the financial cost of our friendship. Because after all one can’t put a price on friendship,” concludes Bridge.
