Affies pupil in medically-induced coma after car crash

The accident happened on Sunday between Bela-Bela and Pretoria.
A matriculant from the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in Pretoria has been admitted to hospital with serious injuries after a car crash that took place over the long weekend.

Lian Taljaard (18) was rushed to hospital on Sunday, 23 September, after the accident that happened between Bela-Bela and Pretoria. Lian's friend, Shaun Goedhals - who was in the car with him - sustained minor injuries.
According to Netwerk24, Cornel Taljaard - Lian's mother and the two pupils were spending the long weekend on their family farm outside Bela-Bela.
“Lian has been admitted to hospital with serious injuries. He is in a medically induced coma for the last two days," Cornel told Netwerk24.
The Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool has asked for prayers for the two learners in a Facebook post shared on Tuesday afternoon.
