One of the passengers on the plane took a video of the incident and confirmed that the mother complained about the dirty seat. She was told that cleaning it was not part of the flight attendant’s responsibility and that she and her daughter would not be moved to new seats.

Frontier Airlines said in a statement that "the flight attendants apologized and immediately invited the mother and her teenage daughter to move to either end of the plane so that the seat area could be cleaned." The airline also claimed that Swinney "became disruptive."
