A baby elephant smothering a tourist with hugs is what you need today
Updated | By The Workzone with Barney Simon
A tourist in Thailand got the most adorable lesson in unconditional love from a baby elephant.
Elephants, even when they are young, have an intimidating presence. They are beautiful to look at, but the thought of how powerful they are is also quite intimidating. This is why many tourists who go to nature reserves or sanctuaries would choose to admire the majestic creatures from a distance.
But there are brave people who approach elephants to feed them or pet them, and are pleasantly surprised by how gentle the creatures actually are.

For Hannah Frenchick, a young woman who visited the Patara Elephant Farm in Chiang Mai, Thailand, getting up close and personal with the elephants proved to be a delightful experience.
Hannah pets the elephant, and the calf is so excited to cuddle with Hannah that the two end up rolling around in the mud together!
The baby elephant goes as far as trying to sit on Hannah's lap to get more quality time and Hannah is happy to oblige.
A staff member does intervene when the baby lies on top of the tourist, but Hannah herself never appears afraid or anxious in front of the animal
