The trial of DA MP Glynnis Breytenbach and her former lawyer is set to begin on the 18th of July. The pair face four charges of contravening the NPA Act and two charges of defeating the ends of justice. Breytenbach faces two additional charges for fraud and perjury. She and her former lawyer have previously been granted R10 000 bail. Last month the case docket was apparently stolen from the investigator's car. The Hawks maintain that it won't jeopardise the matter. The NPA is accusing Breytenbach and Gerhard Wagenaar of destroying data on Breytenbach's computer when she was head of the specialised commercial crimes unit. By: Slindelo Masikane
