Uncollected refuse is expected to keep on piling up in the streets of Johannesburg as the Pikitup strike continues through the Easter weekend.

Samwu has confirmed it was awaiting a meeting with Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements Paul Mashatile, Johannesburg Mayor Parks Tau and Infrastructure MMC Matshidiso Mfikoe to resolve the matter.
