Rampaging elephants kill five villagers in India

Five people have been killed by wild elephants that went on the rampage, triggering panic in a village in eastern India, a local official said Monday. Another man was critically injured by the four elephants, who entered the village of Bhatar in West Bengal state on Sunday morning after apparently straying from their herd.
