National Geographic have revealed this year's 50 best photographs, which have been chosen from thousands of shots.
The selection features provocative images such as an encounter with a 16-year-old panda at the Wolong Nature Reserve in China, a young girl with her pet saddleback tamarin in the Yomibato River in Peru’s Manu National Park, and Virunga Park rangers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo undergoing military-style training.
