GMA Coronavirus Support: Titans cricket players reaching out to a dedicated coach
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
The coronavirus lockdown has hit all forms of sport hard, with even basic exercise restricted.

BACKGROUND: Patrick Nkuna lives and breathes cricket. He played provincial cricket for Northerns since school boy days with household names like AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis. Patrick is currently a coach at Pretoria Boys High School, where he coaches the under 14 B’s and individual players. He has served the sport well and is a shining example to those he coaches. Cricket is also Patrick’s only source of income. This means no income for coaches like Patrick, who has to stay home and wait it out. Patrick currently lives with his wife, daughter, mother, and sister and her two children. His mom works at a day care centre and his sister is a domestic worker, which means none of them can earn an income during lockdown. A cricket colleague at the school, Dean Jefferson, wrote to Good Morning Angels to ask for assistance for the talented Patrick and his family.
