Breakfast with Martin Bester celebrates International Nurses Day this Tuesday!

The coronavirus pandemic is a simple reminder of the vital role and contributions nurses play in society.
May 12 was chosen to celebrate International Nurses Day as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
Nurses have always been at the forefront of fighting epidemics and pandemics - providing high quality and respectful treatment and care.

They are often the first and sometimes the only health professional that people see.
Without nurses and other health workers, we will not win the battle against outbreaks such as Covid-19.
Breakfast with Martin Bester paid tribute to the nurses on the Breakfast show on day 47 of the national lockdown.
