How to report coronavirus myths and fake news

This is how to curb coronavirus-related fake news in South Africa.

According the South African Government website, anyone that creates or spreads fake news about the Coronavirus COVID-19 is liable for prosecution.
It is best to verify the information before you share information.
Citizens spreading fake news will face a fine or imprisonment if they choose to ignore the law aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19.

The national institute for communicable diseases (NICD) released an e-mail as well as a WhatsApp line to curb people spreading fake news.
