The canal in Vernice is looking much clearer - after the coronavirus outbreak keeps people away.

As the world continues to battle with coronavirus, the pandemic is having some unexpected side effects.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak - Italy is currently under lockdown and local citizens in Venice have noticed that the water in the city's canals has become much clearer.

Locals also realised that they can see small fish, swans and dolphins swimming around.
Pictures were shared widely on social media.
