Viral baby hippo Moo Deng predicts US election outcome

The world is waiting in anticipation to see the outcome of the 2024 US election as Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump go head-to-head for the American presidential seat.

Many people have shared their predictions and hopes for who they think will be the next US president.

It seems that some animals have even started sharing their predictions.

Thailand's viral baby hippo, Moo Deng, might have just predicted the outcome of this year's election.

After being offered two dishes of carved fruit, each with one of the candidates' names on it, Donald Trump seemed to be victorious as Moo Deng chose his dish.

When the dishes were placed in front of her, she started chomping on the Trump dish, ultimately "predicting" the Republican candidate’s return to the White House.

The Khao Kheow Open Zoo shared video footage of the four-month-old pigmy hippo choosing Trump.

Moo Deng, which means "bouncy pork", has taken the internet by storm with her adorable antics.

The zoo workers realised that she was gaining a following online and started posting more of her content, much to the delight of her new fans.

One of her most popular videos shows her sitting in her little tub, being cleaned with a hosepipe while trying to chomp the water.

Her antics include biting zoo employees, mimicking her mother, and avoiding capture.
