Meet Spot, the robot dog that is worth R1,9-million.

Earlier this year, the University of Johannesburg announced the launch of the robot dog, the Spot from Boston Dynamics, in South Africa.
The robot dog is worth R1,9-million.

The four-legged robot is capable of walking in rough terrain - and has been tested for military use.
It is also perfect for security purposes like patrolling areas.

In September Hyundai, the majority owner of Boston Dynamics announced it would use Spot as a night patroller at a factory in South Korea.
They will test Spot's ability to help out with safety through its ability to detect things such as open doors.
