The City of Tshwane has closed three of its buildings after a number of staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

Tshwane House, Mini Munitoria in Mamelodi West and the Silverton Fire will be closed until Thursday.
The city’s spokesperson Selby Bokaba says the buildings will be open again on Friday.

“We took this decision after a number of our staffers tested positive for Covid-19. So as a precautionary measure we decided to close those offices and allow employees to work from home so that we can disinfect the buildings, which is something we have been doing but decided to do again.”
Bokaba says those who may have come into contact with the infected staffers will be traced and tested.
“All contacts will be traced and managed according to the Department of Health Covid-19 guidelines and protocols.”
