#Covid19inSA: Death toll nears the 150 mark

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that South Africa’s coronavirus death toll has risen to 148.

Ten more people died from the virus in 24 hours - seven in the Western Cape, one from the Eastern Cape, another one from KwaZulu-Natal and one in Gauteng.
In his latest statement released last night, Minister Zweli Mkhize says 352 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded, bringing the national total to 7572 confirmed cases.
The ministry in a statement says 268 064 tests have been conducted national wide.
A total of 2746 people have so far recovered from the virus.
