Heavy traffic as severe storm hits Gauteng
Updated | By Laila Majiet
Motorists have been advised to steer clear of low-lying roads and bridges.

A severe storm is moving across Gauteng with flooding already reported on some of the major arterial routes.
The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) says traffic is heavily backed up as a result of the storm.
Heavy rain as well as hail has hit Gauteng.
JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says: "The traffic is very heavy on the N1, N3, M2 and the M1. Motorists should drive with caution and keep their headlights on."
