Storm moves out of Gauteng

Residents in pockets of Gauteng are picking up the pieces after a severe storm hit on Monday afternoon.

The South African Weather Service says the storm has moved out of Gauteng completely.
Forecaster Madimetja Thema says the storm has moved to two neighbouring provinces.

At this stage, Thema says he cannot confirm whether or not it was a tornado which caused devastation in Krugersdorp.

Roofs were blown off and buildings structurally damaged.
Large hailstones the size of golf balls also caused significant damage in Krugersdorp and other parts of the province.
