Melti Grobler: A two-time cancer survivor now a healthy teenager
At almost two years old, Melti Grobler beat cancer for the first time, and at just five years old, he had to endure that battle once again. We take a look at the healthy teenager he has become, years after Jacaranda FM's Good Morning Angels assisted him and his family.
In 2017, five-year-old Melti Grobler was fighting cancer for the second time!
He and his family visited the Good Morning Angels studio dressed in their "Melti Grobler Chemo Warrior" T-shirts because this was a family fight.

After beating cancer at the tender age of one year and seven months, the cancer had returned. Although the family was on medical aid, it would not cover the cost of the bone marrow search and transplant he needed to save his life.
Good Morning Angels helped with the funds required for the donor search—a 100% match was found!
Then, the second mountain to climb was raising around R1 million.
With the help of their community and a few Angels, all the funds were raised, and the transplant could proceed.

Melti and his mom, Melanie, visited Good Morning Angels again in January 2018, when Melti was officially cancer-free!
