Kagiso Media Hunger Relief Fund: Megas in Motion in Orange Farm
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Megas in Motion provides holistic education, vocational training and entrepreneurship development to people from marginalized communities like townships and rural areas.
Megas In Motion is a registered non-profit organisation registered with the Department of Social Development.
It is based in the township of Orange Farm. Our passion is to provide holistic education, vocational training and entrepreneurship development to the women, youth, disabled and children from marginalized communities like townships and rural areas.
The Covid-19 crisis is having a profound effect on the nutritional wellbeing of people with many going hungry. The harmful effects of the Covid-19 pandemic are most damaging to children, women and the disabled in our township community.
Currently at Megas In Motion through a Feed A Family Campaign: A total of 240 Food parcels have been distributed to families with particular focus to women-led homes, the disabled and the elderly. Our mobile food kitchen feeds 350 people with a meal once a week, but can increase the days should supplies be available.
We are thankful to all the support given and request for more assistance to be able to continue with food parcel distributions and providing a meal to those in need in our community of Orange Farm.
