South Africa set to house the longest zipline in the world

September officially marks the month of tourism. With the impact of COVID-19 on the industry, the government is looking into ways to improve the struggling industry.

One foreseeable plan is the Overberg community in Caledon becoming the new home of the longest zipline in the world.
According to reports, the zipline with be called “K3” and is set to be longer the 3 km in length and 500 meters from the ground at its highest point.

The new feature to the community is set to operate from the summer this year.
If the zipline opens successfully, developments on the record breaking 5 km zipline with commence on the same property.

The country looks forward to this new addition and hopes to attract more international travellers to the region.
