South Africa’s most popular baby name revealed

Statistic SA has released a list of the most popular baby names in South Africa for 2018.

Last year, 927,113 children were born in the country.

According to the release, the most popular name was Enzokuhle, which means ‘do well’.

Enzokuhle was the most popular name for both boys and girls, with 4124 boys and 3571 girls given the name.

It was followed by Lethabo (Joy) and Melokuhle (Awaiting good things).
