Another banger! Rema drops new song 'Bout U'
We can't calm down because Rema has a hot new song racing up the charts worldwide.
Nigerian artist Rema is making waves with his new single, 'Bout U'.
The Afro-R&B song debuted shortly before his appearance at weekend one of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.
"Rema once again evokes the timeless nostalgia of retro RnB with 'Bout U', this time tapping into the dulcet layered harmonies and wistful guitar instrumentals popularized by Nigerian boy bands in the early 2000s," Universal Music South Africa said in a statement.
"His time travelling musical prowess is as apparent as ever on this record, once more creating a sound that synthesizes the past and the present with ease."
'Bout U' is Rema's second big release of 2025. It follows 'Baby (Is It a Crime)', which debuted in February.
Both singles have been praised by fans and music critics, proving that Rema has staying power on the global music scene.
"Rema has consistently shown that he's a versatile artist [who is] not scared to mix the sounds. Moreover, his push for encompassing, soothing, sometimes 'rage' types of music can't be overlooked. Conclusively, I'm convinced he's on the right track," one fan wrote about 'Bout U'.
The Grammy-nominated singer-rapper became a household name following the success of his 2022 single 'Calm Down'.
He released a remix featuring Selena Gomez, which had over 1.6 billion streams on Spotify.
The remix received several awards, including 'Best Afrobeats' at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
"Big shoutout to Selena. I wanna say I love you from the bottom of my heart," Rema said after their VMA win.
Rema is embarking on a world tour in a few weeks. The 'HEIS Tour' kicks off at Madison Square Garden on May 3.
He is also set to perform in London, Toronto, Paris, Barcelona and Tokyo.
Rema will be back at Coachella on Sunday for the second and final weekend of the music festival.
Post Malone is the main headliner on the day.
