The first stop on Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter Tour' grossed a whopping $55 million (R993 million).

The amount sets a new record, with Billboard reporting that it is the highest reported single-venue engagement by a female performer in Boxscore history.

Beyoncé's tour started with five shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles, between April 28 and May 9.

The 35x Grammy Award-winner sold 217,000 tickets for the five-night concert.

Boxscore has now ranked the 'Cowboy Carter' tour as the fifth-highest-grossing tour run ever.

Despite rumours of poor ticket sales and social media users sharing alleged empty seats, figures show that at least 45,000 concertgoers packed SoFi Stadium every night.

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were among several A-list stars who attended the show.

Queen B sang several songs from the album, including 'Jolene', 'Levii's Jeans', and 'Texas Hold 'Em'. Her setlist features 36 songs.

Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' album also experienced a boost in streams during her Los Angeles stop.

According to Billboard, album streams were up 116% in the first few days of the tour.

'Ya Ya', 'Jolene', and 'Protector' saw the biggest jumps in streams, with 147%, 118%, and 207%, respectively.

Beyoncé's daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, almost stole the spotlight during the LA stop.

Blue Ivy is working as a backup dancer on the tour while Rumi makes an appearance during 'Protector'.

The next stop on the 43-year-old's tour is Chicago on Thursday, May 15, and East Rutherford on Thursday, May 22.

She also has tour dates in England and France.
