Man arrested after invading the stage at Katy Perry's show

The 'Firework' singer handled a security breach at one of her concerts in Australia like a seasoned pro.

A man has been arrested after storming the stage at Katy Perry's show in Sydney, Australia.
The 40-year-old was singing her 2008 hit 'Hot N Cold' at the Qudos Bank Arena when he rushed towards her.
He put his arm around her and started dancing. Perry gently pulled away from him.
The man started doing the viral backpack kid dance (the floss). It wasn't long before security came to her rescue. He was quickly escorted off the stage.
"There's never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it, Sydney," Perry told the crowd as the drama unfolded.
According to the Daily Mail, New South Wales police charged the stage invader with "entering enclosed land and obstructing a person in performance of work or duties".

The man, identified as Johnson Wen, has been described as a "serial pest".
He reportedly also stormed The Weekend's Melbourne show in 2024.
"Ban this guy for life from Melb venues for behaviour like this. Must be so terrifying for the artist," an X user said.
Police have banned Wen from entering the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct for six months. He is due back in court later this month.
The Sydney leg of Perry's 'Lifetimes Tour' wraps up on Tuesday, June 10.
She will then head to Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide before returning to America in July.
"I’m definitely pushing the boundaries with these concerts. I’m always pushing my team to develop something that’s not to help me develop something that’s never been seen or heard," she told Variety about her Futuristic-themed tour.
“I also feel the responsibility to give my audience the songs that they know. I’m there to let them tap into the nostalgia… I really just want to reconnect. I want to lock eyes with my fans. It’s been a minute, and I feel very full up on love. I’m overflowing with it.”
Some of the songs on her setlist include 'Firework', 'Dark Horse', 'E.T.', 'Teenage Dream' and 'California Gurls'.
Let's hope she tightens up security for her upcoming shows.
