Miley Cyrus on best advice from godmother Dolly Parton
We all can relate to Dolly Parton's advice to her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus has revealed the best advice she received from country superstar, Dolly Parton.
Cyrus shared Parton's pearls of wisdom during a Q&A session at a screening for her upcoming album, 'Something Beautiful'.
A fan asked the 'Party in the U.S.A' hitmaker about the best tip she has received throughout her music career.
Cyrus impersonated Parton saying:, "You do you, I’ll do me, and together we’ll be us"
The 'Flowers' singer explained the meaning behind the words.
"I can’t be giving you and you can’t be giving me … We all just need to be ourselves," she said, per Billboard.

Parton and Cyrus might not share blood, but the pair have always been close. The 79-year-old 'Jolene' hitmaker is her godmother.
Cyrus' father, Billy Ray Cyrus, became good friends with Parton in the early 1990s. So much so that he decided to give her one of the highest honours when his daughter was born in 1992.
In a 2024 interview with Harper's Bazaar, the 'Wrecking Ball' singer shared what she learned about being a celebrity from her famous godmother.
"She lets everyone in and no one in at the same time. Everyone feels like they know her, but they’re also okay with the fact that they don’t see her without makeup, without the full drag," the 32-year-old.
The singers have also shared a stage several times, including during 'Miley's New Year's Eve Party' special on NBC.
They performed some of their biggest hits, including Parton's 1974 classic, 'I Will Always Love You'.
'Something Beautiful', Cyrus' ninth studio album, will drop on May 30. The album's first official single, 'End of the World', was released in April.
Cyrus is yet to release the project's full tracklist, but we are sure her godmother approves!
