An inquest docket has been opened after the body of a man, believed to have been swept away by floods, was discovered on Thursday in Boyne.

Limpopo police say the man was travelling in a vehicle which was swept off the road during heavy roads in Mankweng east of Polokwane on Monday.
“The driver of the vehicle managed to escape but his passenger, a 26-year-old man, was swept away by the flood water,” said Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Ronel Otto.
The body was discovered after a two-day search, about three kilometres from the scene, she added.
