Deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa said the ANC expects an overwhelming victory in the upcoming local government election.

South Africans take to the polls on 3 August.
Ramaphosa addressed an ANC rally at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday afternoon.
He highlighted the party's successes since it was voted into power in 1994.
Ramaphosa said councillors will sign performance agreements on being elected.
"We want councillors who will humble themselves and who will work for our people with great humility," he said.
"We don't want councillors who will be boastful or will be corrupt and steal our money. We want councillors who are honest and have integrity."
