Three killed in Mpumalanga plane crash

Three people died after the light aircraft they were travelling in crashed on a mountain shortly after take-off near Carolina.

According to reports the plane crashed immediately after taking off.
The South African Police Service confirmed via their Facebook group that the victims - two men and one woman - had not yet been identified, but were believed to be from Mpumalanga.
"Two of them are burnt beyond recognition except for one whose upper body is still identifiable."
Civil Aviation officials are investigating the cause of the crash while the SAPS have opened an inquest docket.
