All roads will lead to Orlando Stadium

Organisers of the SABC Thank You concert that will take place at the Orlando Stadium this weekend have announced that it will be the "mother of all events".

According to Mzwakhe Mbuli artists are still coming forward wanting to be part of the concert that will see more than a hundred artists on one stage from 10am until 10pm on Saturday.
"We have contigency plans in place because we are expecting a record number of concert goers to attend the concert," Mbuli said.
He added that they were in trouble in terms of logisitics and have already warned police, metro police and the fire department that thousands of people will make their way to Orlando Stadium.
"It is overloaded. I told ahthorities that we are overloaded and this is going to be a mother of all shows and we are so thankful," Mbuli told a New Age Business Briefing this morning.

The concert was announced earlier this week and according to the official press release, the concert aims to celebrate the diversity of South African music, artists and the SABC’s game changing decision to include 90% local music content, implemented earlier this year.
"A R100 for a hundred artists but we are catering for six hundred artists so you can expect much more," Mbuli said.
