Charlize Theron throws subtle shade at Jeff Bezos wedding
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
Jeff Bezos's multi million dollar wedding was the talk of the town, but Charlize Theron wasn't too fazed by the hype.

Charlize Theron has something to say about the biggest wedding of 2025.
Tech billionaire Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sánchez tied the knot last week in a lavish three-day affair in Venice, Italy, that reportedly cost between $20 million and $116 million.
Several high-profile guests, including Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, attended the nuptials.
Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Tom Brady, Orlando Bloom, Sydney Sweeney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ivanka Trump, Usher, Karli Kloss, Ellie Goulding, and Queen Rania of Jordan also made the guest list.
It seemed like half of Celebville got an invite - except Theron.
The Oscar winner was busy preparing for an important event of her own. She hosted the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project's 2025 Block Party.
While addressing guests, Theron decided to joke about another event on everyone's lips.
"I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding. But that’s OK because they suck and we’re cool," she said, per The Hollywood Reporter.

It was all in the name of lighthearted shade, but Bezos's wedding sparked local and international backlash.
Several protests took place in Venice in the build-up to the wedding. Italians were upset that officials were allowing the super-rich to take over their city.
One of the party locations reportedly had to be changed after protesters threatened to block a canal leading to the venue with inflatable crocodiles.
Bezos and Sánchez hosted a welcome party and a post-wedding pyjama party for guests.
Guests took taxi boats to some locations, with scores of paparazzi waiting in the wings to capture their every move.
Bezos and Sánchez's wedding ceremony was held at a secluded location on San Giorgio Maggiore island.
Sánchez looked stunning in a custom Dolce & Gabbana.
"Not just a gown, a piece of poetry. Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made," she wrote on Instagram.
The couple's wedding pictures featured in Vogue magazine.
Sánchez told the publication that her wedding dress was inspired by Sophia Lauren's outfit in the movie, 'Houseboat'.
"It went from ‘I want a simple, sexy modern dress’ to ‘I want something that evokes a moment,’ and where I am right now,” she said.
“It is a departure from what people expect…but it’s very much me.”
Sánchez's dress was indeed far from what people are used to seeing her in.
Earlier this year, she made headlines for wearing a risqué outfit to President Donald Trump's inauguration.
She wore a white Alexander McQueen suit with a visible white lace bustier. Many people called her look "incredibly inappropriate".
In contrast, most people agree that her wedding dress was a winner.
"You looked absolutely stunning!" an Instagram user gushed.
Another user added: "It really does suit her."
Oprah Winfrey and her best friend, Gayle King, were also spotted at the fancy do.
