Chris Brown Arrested following 'Altercation'
Updated | By Neo Leeuw
Controversial R&B star Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with felony assault in Washington, D.C. for allegedly punching someone in the face.

A felony assault for Brown could be grounds for probation violation. The singer was placed on probation following his 2009 attack on Rihanna.
Brown was arrested with his bodyguard following "an altercation" outside the W Hotel at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:30 a.m., a DC police spokeswoman confirmed to ABC News.
Brown will be held until court on Monday, since he is reported to be on probation and not eligible for release until seeing a judge, a source told ABC News.
The "Forever" singer is no stranger to legal trouble. He was arrested in 2009 after he turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department following an incident with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. In June 2009 Brown pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years' formal probation, and domestic violence counseling.
