Mariah Carey’s plans receive backlash from Darlene Love and Elizabeth Chan

Mariah Carey’s plans for her association with Christmas got a backlash from other queens who think they have had just as much influence on Christmas music glory.

According to CBS News, the singer
put in an application at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in March 2021, to
legally own and be referred to as the “Queen of Christmas”.
As soon as the trademark application was made public knowledge, Elizabeth Chan and Darlene Love came forward to go against the plans, saying that they have ties to the name “Queen of Christmas”.

The singers have not yet publicly confirmed if they have a counter lawsuit to Mariah’s bid. However, fans of each are standing up for them.
