Maxwell to kick off 3 city tour
Updated | By Neo Leeuw
Soul singer Maxwell has landed in South Africa for his three-city tour which starts in Cape Town this evening.

The award-winning singer is scheduled to perform at Cape Town’s Grand Arena on 5 December, the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg on 7 December, and at the Wavehouse in Durban on 9 December.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Maxwell’s music has throughout his career extended over various genres, including R&B, funk, and soul. He is considered as one of the forerunners of the neo-soul subgenre of the late 90s, alongside other artist like D’Angelo and Erykah Badu.
Maxwell launched his new album "The Best of Maxwell: For Lovers Only" in South Africa in early November ahead of this tour. This latest compilation features fifteen tracks, many of which will be on the SA Tour playlist.
The much loved popular numbers such as "Ascenion", "Sumthin' Sumthin'" and "Whatever Whatever Whatever" feature alongside several uncut numbers including "Silently", "Get to know You" and "For Lovers Only". "The Best of Maxwell: For Lovers only" is available at leading music stores and retailers.
Tickets for the concerts are still available at computicket.
