Miss SA finalists take a stand against breast cancer
Updated | By MornéJK
The Top 12 finalists of the coveted Miss SA pageant have handed over a cheque of R100 000 to the Reach for Recovery's 'Ditto Project'.

According to the project's Sandra Strydom, the money will provide women who have had mastectomies, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, with silicone prostheses.
The Miss South Africa 2017 finalists, who are preparing for the Miss South Africa final that will take place on the 26th of March, was part of handover and listened to the survivor's inspiring stories.
Charity is a big part of the Miss SA finalists' journey as they go through the process of possibly becoming the next female representative of South Africa.

Reach for Recovery helps women regain some of the self-esteem they've been deprived of by breast cancer and we are all delighted that we are able to support them in the invaluable work they do with breast cancer survivors.
Socialite Edit Venter, who is one of the organisers, says while the day was full of glitz and glamour, the main aim is to support women in their battle against the dreaded disease.
"This year we doubled the funds raised in 2015 and we look forward to supporting this worthy cause in 2017." says Edith Venter.
