A new Urban Brew production Tyres & Braaiers hit the airwaves this week, and follows comedian Nik Rabinowitz and Chef Hezron Louw as they tour the country in search of the most unique, interesting and scenic braai experiences South Africa has to offer.

According to producers, the dynamic duo had tons of fun travelling to different corners of the country in various weird and wonderful vehicles.
They hitch a ride in vehicles that range from a vintage fire truck to a home-built car - meeting a new group of braaiers every week.
"From Soweto to the Karoo, Tyres & Braaiers will uncover new flavours and recipes each week. But it is more than just a conventional cooking show. It is laidback look at our country and its people. We also make stops at interesting locations like the Cape's wine farms and surfing lessons in Durban," director Frankie Opperman says.
Well -known comedian Nik Rabinowitz says the quest to discover the Holy Grail of the South African braai has been one helluva ride.
"We've travelled the length and breadth of South Africa, ok not quite, in the most unusual, head-turning, show-stopping modes of transport. All kinds of incredible South Africans have driven and fed us: lifeguards to lawyers, farmers to fishermen, rugby players to rock stars," he says.
