Paula resigns from 7de Laan
Actress, Diaan Lawrenson announced that she has resigned from the popular soapie, 7de Laan to further her education.
According to reports Diaan is planning to spend more time with her two children and husband, Jody Abrahams while also teaching at the AFDA film school in Cape Town.
"Diaan has made the decision to resign as a principal actress at 7de Laan," the soapie's spokesperson, Rosa-Mari Erasmus, said in a statement.
This means that Diann will not leave the soapie for good but that viewers will be seeing a lot less of Paula van der Lecq on TV in future.
The actress accepted a lecturing post at the Afda film school in Cape Town and will also studying to complete her master's degree in TV and theatre studies.
"We at 7de Laan are saddened by the loss of such a fantastic actress but also glad that she can impart her knowledge to students. 7de Laan wish her all the best for her future plans," the statement concluded.
