All eyes were on Princess Catherine as she attended public engagements in honour of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Macron is in the UK for a three-day state visit that kicked off with a welcome party at Royal Air Force Northolt in London, England.

The Princess of Wales and her husband, Prince William, greeted Macron and his wife, First Lady Brigitte Macron, as they got off the plane.

The royal couple then joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at the welcome party for the Macron's, which was held at Windsor.

"A pleasure to welcome Président @emmanuelmacron and Mrs. Macron to Windsor today," Catherine and William wrote on their official Instagram page.

Princess Catherine looked elegant in a pale pink jacket and skirt designed by the luxury French brand, Christian Dior. She completed the look with a Jess Collett hat.

"The Princess’s look is straight out of the couture books. NAILED IT," one royal fan remarked.

Another fan said: "I am obsessed! Our beautiful Future King & Queen are always so classy!"

Princess Catherine and Prince William returned to Windsor Castle on Tuesday night for a state banquet for the French president.

The Princess of Wales wore a red dress with a cape made by Sarah Burton. She also wore a tiara.

"Catherine always steals the show. Just amazing," an Instagram user commented.

Another user wrote: "I can’t get over how melancholy Kate always seems to be. Such a stunning, regal woman, and yet she seems so fragile."

The French president's visit was not without a few hiccups. His wife was once again accused of snubbing him.

When they touched down in the UK,  Emmanuel held out his hand for Brigitte as she descended the plane's stairs. She declined his hand.

The incident raised eyebrows as the first lady was seen "slapping" him while they waited to exit a plane during their Southeast Asian tour in May.

The president's team initially tried to deny the incident but were forced to change their tune when footage was released online.

He later claimed that they were "joking as we often do".
