Ricky Gervais is making a comeback hosting the 'Golden Globes 2016' after three years absence.

The 54-year-old comedian will return to hosting duties for the prestigious TV and film awards ceremony held on January 10.
NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt, confirmed in a statement: "We're excited to have Ricky Gervais back to host the most enjoyable awards show of the season in his own inimitable way. Disarming and surprising, Ricky is ready to honor -- and send up -- the best work of the year in film and television. Fasten your seats belts."
The British-born comic hosted the awards from 2010-2012 and was replaced by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but he's believed to have left a "lasting impression" and the show are "thrilled" to have him back.
Lorenzo Soria, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, added: "Ricky Gervais left us with a lasting impression and we are thrilled to have him back in our show as we honor the best in film and television.
"His off-the-cuff wit and quirky charm will surely have the room and audiences around the world at the edge of their seats."
Ricky retweeted a post by the Golden Globes, confirming the news.
They wrote:" Psssst! #HesBack #GoldenGlobes (sic)"
