Sarah Jessica Parker on why she doesn't take fan selfies
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
A woman approached the 'Sex and the City' star for a picture and didn't bother to say "hello", but what the actress did next might surprise you.

Twenty-seven years after bursting onto TV screens as Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and the City', Sarah Jessica Parker still has fans lining up for selfies.
However, the 60-year-old reveals she has had to set boundaries when dealing with pushy fans.
During an appearance on 'The Howard Stern Show', Parker recalled an encounter that made her uneasy.
"So here's what I've been trying to do, because I was just at the airport on Friday. A woman came up to me and she didn't say hello, she just said, 'Can I take your picture?' And I said, 'We didn't even meet. You didn't even introduce yourself. What's your name?'" she said.
The woman later identified herself as Julie. However, Parker also made it clear that, name or no name, she prefers a conversation over selfies.
"When you tell me your name, I'm going to tell you no, but we are going to have a conversation and I guarantee it's going to be so much more meaningful," she said.

The actress then told Julie that she first had to get food for her family before continuing the conversation.
She then returned to chat to the woman and everyone at her table.
Stern was shocked that adults don't know how to behave. Parker also shared another reason why she shies away from selfies these days.
"I kind of prefer it to somebody walking up to me with a camera already ready, asking as they're clicking. I always am, like, startled by it. I much prefer to have a conversation, for someone to come to me and say, 'Maybe this isn't your best time, my name is Veronica, and I'm just here, and I'm excited to see you,'" she said.
Parker can expect a lot more selfie requests in the coming weeks.
Season three of 'And Just Like That...' debuted on May 29, which means more people will recognise her on the streets of New York where she lives.
The series follows the original cast, minus Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones), as they navigate life in their 50s.
Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) and Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) also reprise their roles, along with some new faces.
