South Africa welcomes brand new Miss South Africa 2019

Sasha-Lee Oliver has been crowned Miss South Africa 2019.

Miss South Africa 2019 runner's up, Sasha-Lee Laurel Olivier (26) has been announced as the new Miss South Africa.
Olivier takes over Miss SA duties from the titleholder, Zozibini Tunzi who was crowned Miss Universe in December 2019.

Oliver shared the exciting news on her Instagram page: "Good Morning South Africa! I’m humbled and so incredibly excited to take over the reins from our Miss Universe as Miss South Africa 2019! I cannot wait to see what is in store and to continue the great work we started in 2019!"
In December, Oliver represented South Africa at the Miss World pageant, where she made it into the Top 40. Olivier, who is a survivor of sexual abuse, said on Instagram, that it has been a life long dream to represent her country and it is a surreal moment to be a voice for so many women.
