Sydney Sweeney has made an interesting observation about her controversial bathwater soap collaboration.

The 'Euphoria' actress is currently the ‘It Girl’ of Hollywood, and scores of brands are lining up to feature her in their campaigns.

However, the attention comes with a lot of attention, some good and some bad. Earlier this year, the 27-year-old starred in an advert for men's personal care brand, Dr. Squatch.

The company made a splash in May when it debuted a hand soap made with Sweeney's bathwater.  The water was collected from a previous body wash ad Sweeney featured in, which was aimed at “dirty little boys”.

The $8 (R140) hand soap sold out within minutes, with one man joking, “This bar of soap is going to be a family heirloom, passed down through the ages.”

However, scores of social media users slammed the campaign, calling it “sick and perverted”.

Others accused Sweeney and Dr. Squatch of setting women back another 50 years.

The actress is finally speaking out about the drama Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss caused.

“It’s important to have a finger on the pulse of what people are saying, because everything is a conversation with the audience,” she told The Wall Street Journal.

Sweeney adds that she noticed that it was “mainly the girls making comments” about the collaboration.

“Which I thought was really interesting. They all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi’s bathwater.”

In 2024, Elordi, who is Sweeney's co-star in Euphoria, released a soy candle named ‘Jacob's Elordi's Candle'.

A risqué scene from his 'Saltburn' movie inspired the candle.

“There’s nothing quite like the smell of a quality candle, particularly when that smell is inspired by Jacob Elordi and what we imagine His Highness to smell like,” a product description read.

Sweeney has been attracting a lot of attention in 2025. Her latest campaign, a jeans ad with American Eagle, also caused a stir online.

The ad was deemed too sexy, with some even calling it "Nazi propaganda" because the blue-eyed blonde praised her “great genes”.

"Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle promoting eugenics and pushing the aryan race Nazi propaganda was not in my 2025 bingo card," an X user said.

The backlash earned Sweeney a comment from President Donald Trump.

"Sydney Sweeney is GREAT, she has a great look, she has 'great jeans', and she’s got a lot of talent. American Eagle got it right. The hottest Ad on TV (and elsewhere)! Taylor Swift is the exact opposite, she’s WOKE and not hot anymore — she got booed at the Super Bowl. When I said I hated her, her career started going downhill. Sad!" he said
