TV personality, Tumisho Masha back in court
Popular TV personality Tumisho Masha is expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Friday on a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Masha stands accused of assaulting his wife.
He also faces a charge of malicious damage to property at his and his wife Zozibini Mtongana's upmarket home in Dainfern, north of Johannesburg.
The actor and presenter was released on bail of R1,000 last month after allegations that the he assaulted his wife at the couple's home on July 20.
His wife applied for a protection order against him shortly after the alleged incident, police said.
Tumisho apologised on social media recently saying that as a celebrity you also make mistakes.
"Just because I'm a celebrity doesn't mean I don't make mistakes. Just coz (because) I'm on tv doesn't mean I'm not real and just coz (because) I'm smiling doesn't mean I don't hurt," he wrote.
