[WATCH] Fergie apologises for singing 'worst' ever US national anthem
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Americans were not kind in their criticism of what has been dubbed the 'worst rendition' of their national anthem.

Singing sensation, Fergie was ridiculed for delivering a version of the"Star-Spangled Banner", not known to everybody.
She opened the NBA All-Star game on Monday evening.
Fergie apologised, admitting that her performance was not up to scratch.
"I've always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best," Fergie wrote in a statement.

Let's be real, #Fergie gave the U.S. the anthem it deserves right now.
