The official trailer for James Cameron's third 'Avatar' movie is finally here.

Disney released a two-minute trailer for 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' on Monday, July 28. Cameron is taking moviegoers back to Pandora for an "immersive new adventure" filled with amazing visual effects.

Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña reprise their roles as Jake Sully and Neytiri. The Sully family is back, along with Kate Winslet (Ronal), Sigourney Weaver (Kiri), and Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch).

A new villain named Varang (played by Oona Chaplin) takes centre stage in the new film.

"Jake and Neytiri's family grapples with grief after Neteyam's death, encountering a new, aggressive Na'vi tribe, the Ash People, who are led by the fiery Varang, as the conflict on Pandora escalates and a new moral focus emerges," a synopsis on IMDb reads.

Cameron co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

"You’ll see a lot more Pandora that you never saw before,” Cameron said last year, per Variety

“It’s an insane adventure and a feast for the eyes, but it’s also got very high emotional stakes, more than ever before. We’re going into really challenging territory for all the characters you know and love.”

Whatever Cameron has up his sleeve, 'Avatar' fans hope it doesn't involve killing a beloved character.

In 'Avatar: The Way of Water', the second film in the franchise, Jake and Neytiri's son, Neteyam, died during a raid.  The Sully family, including their middle child Lo'ak, is coping with the tragic loss in 'Avatar: Fire & Ash'.

"You better not play with my heart, Cameron," an Instagram user said.

"Please, Mr Cameron, not Loak this time, he's one of my favourite characters," another user begged.

The first 'Avatar' movie made over $2,9 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film in history.

'Avatar 2' made more than $2,3 billion. It is the third-highest-grossing film behind 'Avengers: Endgame'. 'Titanic', another one of Cameron's films, is in fourth place.

'Avatar: Fire and Ash' will debut in cinemas on December 19. Watch the trailer on YouTube below.
