Blaze at MultiChoice building extinguished

A fire that erupted at the MultiChoice building in Randburg, north of Johannesburg, was extinguished on Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze forced the evacuation of the entire building.
Johannesburg Emergency Services spokesperson Nana Radebe says it took about 40 minutes to contain the fire.
Three people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Radebe says the fire was caused by the air conditioning system in one of the buildings.

[UPDATE] The JHB EMS has confirmed that three people have been treated for smoke inhalation as a result of the #MultichoiceFire this afternoon. Spokesperson Nana Radebe says the three have been transported to hospital.
